With a strong background in Early Childhood Education and Care Tonya and Helen    founded   Connections Family Day Care in 2016.

 

Both Tonya and Helen have Qualifications in  Advance Diploma of Children’s Services and Cert IV in Training and Assessment

 

Working together for many years, Tonya and Helen decided to start Connections Family Day Care to enrich and support educators to provide high quality care for children and families.

​

Connections FDC Educational Leader is Samala Dover. Sam has 20 years indusrty experience, previously operating her own Family Day Care with Connections FDC until 2019. She also has a strong background in Long Day Care and OSCH. 

Sam is passionate about supporting educators to critically reflect, motivate and inspire practice and pedagogy to ensure children's play spaces are engaging, challenging and promote learning and development.

Helen Kehoe

 

After working as an education assistant in a local school for 10 years, Helen opened a long day care centre to further her passion of teaching children.

 

After establishing the service and achieving high quality accreditation, Helen decided to share her knowledge and skills and became a trainer and assessor for a private training organisation. After then accepting a position in TAFE in 2010, Helen continued to share and enrich students with her knowledge facilitating Certificate III and Diploma students enrolled in Early childhood education and Care.

In 2016, with a keen interest in Family Day Care,Connections FDC was established.

Tonya Morrissey

 

With a background in management Tonya took a change of career into the childcare industry, progressing from educator to Centre Director, providing leadership and support to staff, students and families. 

 

As a service who accommodated students from local schools, training organisations and universities, Tonya became interested in guiding and mentoring prospective educators within the childcare industry.

​

In 2013 Tonya was offered a position in TAFE. Specialising in training  Family Day Care educators , Tonya decided to move forward and in 2016 Connections FDC was established.
